Independence day on the 6th of December



We started our day with the celebration of our country´s independence. Finland is now 96 years old.

This was easy one.

Comenius day

Wednesday on 20th November we had a Comenius day in our school. We had six different workshops and during the school day every children visited in each workshop. Our pupils were shared in six different group. In each group there were pupils from each class. We found that very effective to improve spirit in our school.

Day was great and pupils seemed to enjoy doing different things. This kind of day is fantastic way to break our routines.

Following there is some pictures of our activities. Ideas are made by our techers.

1. Printing fabric

We printed different flags on fabric.

Finally flags needed to hang and dry.

 Printing was little bit messy, but pupils were carefull.

                        2. Dancing workshop

Children danced simple version of Sevillanas dance. They also danced Virginial real from Scotland.

 

Dances were easy enough to learn in short time.

4. Language workshop

In music workshop we sang Bingo song, Olé óle, learn Three little monkeys nursery rhyme and listen Highland music.

Pedro and Baggy-Alice taught children some foreign language.

 

5. Geography

In geography workshop we had a quiz.

6. P.E. games

First we had to be quick and clever to get handkerchief.
In the second game pupils tried to escape from Mr Wolf.









On thursday girls of 3rd grade were playing "Mr Wolf" on the schoolyard. Enjoy your weekend!
